There are 9 cider-apple varities in our orchard; most of the apple production is used by Calvados industry but we also produce a small quantity of high quality farm products: pure juice cider, Calvados AOC fermier du Pays de la Risle and Pommeau de Normandie AOC.

I visited this family Calvados farm and had a very nice experience. This was my first time discovering calvados. It's a strong liquor produced from a base of apples, very famous from the Normandy region of France. The family also produces apple cider and Pomeau (something of a cross between cider and Calvados). The farm is situated next to a big apple orchard. There are interesting remnants of world war two around the property (bunkers, airplane hangers, etc.). They were very welcoming and, while I didn't stay there, the house looks like it would make for an excellent bed and breakfast.
