My name is Jean-Marie. I am a "trufficulteur", a producer of Perigord black truffles (tuber melanosporum in Latin).
Our truffiere (truffle farm) includes 9 hectares of oak trees among which the truffles are found growing naturally. From December to February, we harvest these mysterious gems whose subtle yet intense flavors are prized in kitchens around the world.

The quality of black truffles from this area is so high, that the "Perigord" truffle took it's name from our very region.
